With the Ford Challenge (in case you have forgotten, it’s Bold Moves - Ford’s aggressive but successful marketing ploy to ingratiate more customers in buying Ford cars and trucks), Ford Division is certainly taking huge leaps forward with the campaign. The Ford challenge ads catapulted the company’s sales figures in huge doses.
Year to date sales figures show that Toyota has outsold DaimlerChrysler (Chrysler Group and Mercedes-Benz combined) in the U.S. market. Toyota prepares to add capacity to build about 500,000 more cars and trucks in North America, while GM and Ford are cutting a combined 60,000 U.S. union jobs and closing 26 locations to try and halt losses.
